All registrations for this course must be received by 5:00PM EST on 2/25/2022.  No registrations will be permitted after that date and time.

This one-day review seminar utilizes video demonstrations, slides, and lectures by local industry professionals covering concrete properties and finishing procedures, which are essential for producing high-quality durable concrete pavements.

A one-hour written examination will be administered at the conclusion of the instruction seminar. The course of instruction, as well as the exam, will be based upon information provided in the CRAFTSMAN WORKBOOK, which will be provided to all applicants.

To qualify for certification as a Concrete Flatwork Finisher, applicants must meet a minimum 3-year (4,500 hours) experience requirement, provide verification of finishing skills, and pass the written examination (minimum 70% correct).

Applicants with insufficient work experience, passing the written examination (minimum 80% correct), will be granted certification as a Concrete Flatwork Technician. Certified Flatwork Technicians may, at a later date, submit verification of the 3-year experience requirement, and upon approval by ACI, they will be certified as a Flatwork Finisher.

The certification for both Flatwork Finisher and Flatwork Technician is valid for five (5) years after the exam date.

Registration fee includes classroom instruction, the ACI CP10 “Craftsman Workbook for ACI Certification of Concrete Flatwork Technician/Finisher, the written examination, lunch, coffee and refreshments.
